Having served with DoD and DoS, your thesis of the 12 hours in Saudi is near opposite than real experience. Waltz and Rubio did not send experts. They sent talking heads with no expertise in ceasefires or sea trade. An intentional effort to tank talks. The Russians spent 12 hours educating the US tokens sent to be fronts for Zelensky worshipers. This is just like Waltz spending the day denying he leaked to the editor of the Atlantic. As the US started the war against Russia in 2014 and even before, then they should stop arming them and sharing intelligence with them and tell Ukraine it’s over and they are on their own. A US president has many domestic issues to resolve instead of spending time trying to sort out the mess they’ve created all round the world by poking their noses into everyone else’s business.
