Understanding that Ukraine closely guards casualty numbers for propaganda purposes, is there any reasonable way to estimate how many troops are still alive and fighting in the war?
It is clear that they have lost a massive portion of their armed forces.
Nevertheless, they seem to manage holding off the Russians, now in the fourth year of the war.
I keep expecting a massive collapse but it never materializes.
This has allowed Ukraine to pretend that it is winning.
