This is Jose Vega, Independent Congressional Candidate for NY-15, in the Bronx. The Democratic Primary has now passed, and I am now moving into the second phase of my campaign — an independent candidacy to uproot the AIPAC plantation and its overseers from the Bronx. This primary election saw one of the lowest voter turnouts ever, with only 12% of registered Democratic voters coming out to vote. I received 6% of the votes cast in this week’s election, over double what I had received two years ago in the General Election. I’m extremely proud of what we were able to do, and to all of you who volunteered, donated, and supported me in the leadup to the Primary. With that said, and as I made clear before, I am not putting the brakes on. We put in the effort to run as independents for the General Election, collecting over 10,000 signatures to qualify for ballot status, with our party name being “Speak the Truth.” I believe that people get the government they deserve, and that unless we decide to stand up, declare independence from the donors, consultants, corporate lobbyists, and special interest groups that have given us such politicians as Ritchie Torres, Hakeem Jeffries, Gregory Meeks, and other establishment crooks that have used their power to finance wars, at the cost of the living standards of their own constituents, we will not be free. Much attention has been spent on the NYC Primary elections, where some significant electoral victories were won by anti-war, anti-AIPAC candidates. In New York’s 13th district, Darializa Avila Chevalier defeated incumbent Democrat Adriano Espaillat, who had a slew of powerful endorsements from Establishment Democrats, including Hakeem Jeffries. In New York’s 10th district, former city comptroller Brad Lander defeated Rep. Dan Goldman, an ardent Zionist and heir to the Levi-Strauss fortune. Simultaneously with these victories, longtime Republican Party supporter Tucker Carlson announced his break with the party, citing its support for foreign wars that have nothing to do with “America First.” Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, one of the most vocal opponents of the Iran and Ukraine wars, and the coverup of the Epstein Files, announced her break with the Republican Party as well. There are many Americans who have expressed their utter distaste of the post-9/11 endless debacles of no-win wars, which have cost upwards of trillions of U.S. dollars, which could have been spent on upgrading our national economy to the level befitting a so-called “advanced sector nation.” Consider the level of development of New York City, and compare that with a city such as Shanghai, which has a population of over 30 million people, and a poverty rate of less than 1%! New York City has 8.5 million people, and a poverty rate of 26%. Poverty is not an inevitability; it is a choice. Unlike many others, I have policy-solutions to take reverse the economic destruction of New York City, and other cities across the United States, with an FDR-style approach which would end the speculative swindles of Wall Street banks through Glass-Steagal legislation, and immediately investing credit to build the productive capabilities of our workforce. It is time we declare our independence, and revive the policies which constitute the foundation of the United States, its Declaration of Independence, and the Federal Constitution. We are only a week away from celebrating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the document that premised that all human beings are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. I am prepared to take that idea to everyone in the Bronx, and make it their own. We must decide now: what kind of people do we want to be? Join me in taking leadership. Donate to my campaign, volunteer, and support me. Nobody should be threatened just for promoting my campaign. This is what happened to Guy Christensen a day after joining me in the Bronx to organize for my campaign. He was blackmailed and threatened to denounce his association and support for our campaign. We won’t be intimidated by these Epstein tactics.
