Hamas attacks Israel and Israel retaliates against the entire Palestinian population. There are many terms for this: genocide, forced relocation, collective punishment, war crime. It’s no coincidence that what Israel is opportunistically trying to do now under the pretense of “defending itself” is what it has been wanting to do to the Palestinians for decades. This is the plan for a “Greater Israel” that Netanyahu and the Zionists have always had on their agenda. Hamas just gave them the excuse.

Hamas “atrocities”? Can you provide some credible evidence that doesn’t come from Israeli settlers, soldiers or politicians? No, you cannot. But we do have lots of credible evidence, including public claims made by Israeli politicians, that the Israelis want to ethnically cleanse Gaza and forcibly relocate millions of Palestinians. In comparison to what the Israelis are doing — and have been doing — to Palestinians for 75 years, your emotional emphasis on the Hamas attack is sickening. Read Moon of Alabama for a better analysis.

Mr. Mercouris shows his bias when in reporting about Ukraine he consistenly goes out of his way to say that he does not have full knowledge to prove or disprove an alledged atrocity especially in the early days of such reports. However he is very quick in apportioning blame on Hamas. It should be noted that the majority of young Israelis are army reservists and even in times when they are in civilian clothes many are required to carry assault rifles (with folding stocks) in backpack at all times.. So much for being unarmed.

♦Any analysis and discussion about this Hamas incursion into Israel should be from the starting point that Israel is an illegitimate Squatter Colony! Paris Al-Khoury clearly enunciated the ultra vires nature of UN resolution 181: “What is the capacity of the General Assembly regarding mandated territories ? We turn to the Chapter XII of the Charter. All the Article’s concerning mandated territories are there. Let us look at the Chapter XII of the Charter. Is the United Nations entitled in its General Assembly, or its committees, to make recommendations to the mandatory power, and to what extent and within what… Read more »

More people should know that DNA analysis (by a Jew about a decade ago) found that the “Jews” in Israelis are not from the original Levantine tribe and therefore have no legitimate claim to the Palestinian land they occupy.
As Rothschild is famous for saying, Israel was extorted from the British by the bankers in return for funding WW1.

So Hamas did appallingly cruel things, but Israel has been acting with barbarism towards the Palestinians every day for decades. I read recently that there were over 5000 Palestinians of all ages in Israeli jails. What for? For just being Palestinian?

♦ As stated before this whole operation clearly is a well-prepared CASUS BELLI VILIFICATION EXERCISE. This Israeli woman, taken hostage by hamas, describes the whole turn of events in her own words on Israeli radio and to newspapers: “They did not abuse us. They treated us very humanely,” Porat explained to a surprised Golan in the Kan radio interview. “By that I mean they guard us,” she said. “They give us something to drink here and there. When they see we are nervous they calm us down. It was very frightening but no one treated us violently. Luckily nothing happened… Read more »
