Mt Trump’s naval cruise missile attacks on Syria during his first term failed dismally. Was that due to Russian electronic warfare interference? It seems weird that the Iranians should have led with their chin. Unless they deliberately and knowingly sacrificed themselves as martyrs. “The King Must Die”.

Trump continues to destroy the fabric of America. Trump made a cheap spectacle of the highest medal our Country can award ( medal of honor ) by using the SOTU address for his political show. After only 50 days, Trump and his spineless Generals gave this guy ( Eric Stover ) the Medal of Honor basically for getting wounded. Usually the medal of honor takes YEARS to investigate and vett before being awarded and is awarded at its own dedicated ceremony. Only a handful of MOHs in history have been issued that quick and zero since WWII. From Vietnam on… Read more »

I think that most Westerners find it impossible to understand one factor that motivates Iranians: pride. There is very little pride, honour, or loyalty left in the West; and what people mistake for pride is closer to personal arrogance.

Iranians and Chinese people understand very clearly that all gifts must be reciprocated in some way, at some time. Not by any means repayment, which is obnoxious. But to let foreigners protect the country against potentially destructive attack might stick in their throats. It would leave them owing too much.

I think it’s a little more than just pride, also a sense of identity and history that westerners do not have

There has never, in the history of the world, been a more predictable, publicised and talked about attack before it happened as this one. The Iranians and everyone in the world knew this was coming and STILL the Iranians couldn’t protect their Leaders?? Iranians have always seemed to me to be intelligent, thoughtful people but this incompetence is beyond comprehension. What on earth were they doing and thinking?!? Either the entire fabric of their Government and military is compromised by traitors and spies or my impression of them is gravely mistaken. Also, YEARS ago Iran should have recognized that Israel… Read more »

Recall that Trump and the Neocons have fooled many people for many years – including most of the population of the United States

Don’t be misled by what you’re reading and hearing. We have no idea of what really is happening, and I don’t think Alexander can do more than try to analyse the information he gets from the media and his friends.

My hypothesis is that Khamenei realized the mistake that made by instating the fatwa regarding the possession of nuclear weapons. He was not able to go back on what he did and compromise the position of the Aitolia, so he gave Israel the opportunity to martyr him, and thus give the opportunity for his successor to set things right.

That is a very original and thought provoking hypothesis, and your hypothesis is the only explanation that makes any sense.

It is people like you, that should be writing articles on The Duran, as you are an original thinker, unlike all the Marxist ideologues that write “their” preposterous nonsense on ‘The Duran.

How is it conceivable that the Russians – who are supposed to be pretty street-wise – can have been surprised by a US/Israel sneak attack? Yet another one?

The reason Israel has to spend almost a billion dollars a year trying to brainwash American evangelicals with weapons grade propaganda is bc their society is simply incompatible with basic human decency. After shooting him, 14 IDF soldiers created a cordon around the 14 year old Jad Jadallah and watched for 45 minutes as he bled to death in the street. The soldiers blocked 2 ambulances that tried to get to him and then they stole his body and have since refused to return it to his family. This is the kind of inhumanity that American taxpayers are forced to… Read more »

on the eve of the strike on Iran, U.S.
officials envisioned a four- to five-day
operation that would return a weakened
Tehran to the negotiating table. According
to one source, an American official
conveyed an even more immediate
proposal. Through a mediator, apparently
Italy, he suggested reaching a ceasefire
agreement today or tomorrow. Iran
rejected the idea outright.

Confirmed even by media in that death cult in West Asia that neo-Caligula WENT TACO ON DAY ONE, suggesting a ceasefire via an Italian diplomatic channel.

Confirmed by sources in Tehran: the response was NO.

Obviously there is a rat DEEP in Iran’s inner circle… Still.
If Khamenei was certain of his impending death, then why in the hell would he surround himself with all the other Government officials?!?

Unless it was his way to make sure the rat was killed along with him.

Re: “Obviously there is a rat DEEP in Iran’s inner circle… Still.”

I will tell you where the rats are.

Iran’s Jewish community numbers approximately 8,756 individuals according to the Iranian census, with the largest concentration of Jews in Tehran, as Tehran hosts the majority of the Jewish synagogues in Iran, followed by Shiraz (around 2,000 Jews) and Isfahan.

Believe it or not, Iran’s Jews also have a representative in the Iranian parliament, which means there is a large Jewish fifth column in Iran.

It’s not a “killing” of Khamenei

It’s the MURDER of Khamenei.

Who would believe a “promise” by a Jew?!?
Not only are the Iranians naive but Russia seems to be as well.

As far as the “negotiations” on the Ukraine war goes, Alexander seems to be the only one who actually thinks it is something other than the Kabuki theatre that everyone knows it is.
Just the fact of sending two Jews, Witkoff and Kushner, neither of which have any authority, official status or qualification to negotiate anything, is enough proof for the most naive person that it is not a serious effort.

A Polymarket user with the handle ‘Magamyman’ has earned more than $500,000 by betting that the US would strike Iran and that Khamenei would be removed from power.

Democratic Senator Chris Murphy has suggested that the bets were based on insider information. “It’s insane this is legal. People around Trump are profiting off war and death,” he charged.

Donald Trump Jr., son of the US president, sits on the platform’s advisory board.

If you brag that the US is the greatest country the world has ever seen and its military is the greatest military the world has ever seen, it can come as a shock to discover that the reverse is true.

Son of Ayatollah Khamenei to be Named Iran's Supreme Leader

Scott Ritter and Larry Johnson say Iran is headed for victory, and Trump-Netanyahu will seek face-saving way to end the war.
