Alex, you keep forgetting Boris Johnson’s promises made on 9 April 2022! I would argue that President Zelenskiy is merely demanding that the West to honour the promises made by Johnson on behalf of NATO. It’s sad that he was duped in this manner, and that he is totally stuck, but I remain certain that his entire behaviour is linked to what PM Johnson told him, and following which he abandoned peace and suffered all the consequences that ensued. That is my personal opinion.
A real problem for the world that is sometimes overlooked is, given the level of incompetency, criminality and general hubris of these people, there is no way they could do any other job.
And they know this, so for them to stay in power is do or die. As Sun Tzu said, “An evil enemy will burn his own nation to the ground to rule over the ashes.” Right now we are led by thousands of them.
I believe we are in for a very rough ride.
