I dont disagree with sll Alexander’s assessment of Rus economy but he completely ignores the different economic views on budget surpluses and deficits. AM takes the neoconservative economic view of budget surpluses and using interest rates for monetary control.
Economists such as Hudson, Kelton, Keen MMT are virtually ignored.
Economist Jeffrey Sachs has been on the Duran a number of times and never a question on the Rus economy. with which he has intimate experience.
Alexander is by mo means illiterate economically but he is not an economist, among which there are many diverse points of view.
