I think that Mercouris has it wrong. He doesn’t consider that Iran is awaiting S-400s from Russia and is therefore not yet prepared to shoot down Israeli missiles and planes which would be responding to an Iranian missile attack against Israel. Hezbollah was waiting to coordinate with Iran to release simultaneously against Israel. But now Israel has neutered Hezbollah. If and when Iran releases against Israel, they’ll not have Hezbollah’s missiles coming into Israel to reinforce Iran’s simultaneous attack.
