Trump refers to threats “to the safety and security of our planet”.
This is a red letter day. A major landmark. For the first time, a President of the USA has threatened the world with nuclear destruction if he doesn’t get everything he wants.
As to tariffs, isn’t that a double-edged weapon? High tariffs will raise prices for American citizens, and perhaps rule out some products entirely.
Maybe the sane nations of the world should agree to sanction the USA until it changes its regime.
For the USA to “protect” Greenland against Russia and China is like a tiger promising to protect an antelope against a bear and a dragon.
No matter how it ends, it won’t be good for the sheep.

I disagree. Ms Kallas should not be on a plane to the USA. She should be on a plane to Moscow, then Beijing – to apologise, grovel, and ask for help.
Alex, have you lost your mind? Mocking Trump was a brilliant move. It sets the scene to send all US troops, kit, etc home. Then a new security architecture which allows Europe to additionally come under the nuclear umbrella of Russia – a huge strategic defeat for US. A defeat won by 15 European soldiers on a skiing and nature holiday in Greenland.
