I don’t think Lyndsey Graham is trying to portray Russia as the villain in WWII. He is saying that Russia will deal a resounding defeat to the Ukraine and he would like to suggest they may not stop there.
Since Lyndsey Graham is suffering from Terminal Stupidity, take him with a lb of salt.
In fact, Europe would do well to be liberated from American Tyranny by Russia.

Ben Wallace is an idiot and typical of the ‘officer class’ of the modern out-of-touch British Army. The Ukrainians have been complaining about NATO (by which they mean mainly British) training being ineffective against a committed, highly-trained Russian army with state-of-the-art weaponry. He obviously hasn’t heard about the Ukrainian soldiers surrendering in droves, rather than commit suicide on the front. This will only get worse as winter bites.
