Since at least WW2, and possibly before, the political position of the US has always been to keep Germany down. That position seems to be, being prosecuted to an extreme now, while the reason for that policy is not clear. Much of what is happening in the world at this time does not make a lot of logical sense. The US, while claiming to be an ally of Germany, is clearly attacking them, and Germany is openly cooperating with their own destruction. Are you a German? Only traitors were expelled from Czechoslovakia. When you live somewhere you should be loyal to the country. You Germans were the same cosmopolitan scum as the Jews in interwar period. Not all Germans were expelled, only the traitors. I know people of German ancestry who were allowed to stay.

As for you questions out the persistent hatred of Germany towards Russia, you pointed out a while back Marshall Zhukov’s observation that Europe would never forgive the Soviet Union for liberating Europe from the Nazi’s. I think that this explanation will always prevail, ..just as Germany will never be forgiven for The Holocaust, regardless of any display or proof of loyalty from Germany’s government towards the US. Re: Zhukov, I wonder if it was apparent at the time he said it, and whether he took it into account, that the US (and UK?) would take over Western Europe and control the narrative, downplaying/omitting the Soviets’ role in defeating fascism.
There is money for Ukraine but funds for German social services are taking a backseat. And this will have repercussions. All of EUropeans are fast asleep not realizing what the US is trying to achieve: total domination by eliminating competition. No EU and no Euro.
