I cracked up at von der Leyen’s stating that it is painful when a small group assumes unlimited power and imposes a single vision on an entire society. Well, she would be the one to know about this first hand given that her small EU gang is trying to assume unlimited power and control in Europe. The fact that the EU member Hungary wasn’t invited says a lot about her brand of democracy. The US media is having a go at Pakistan for not attending Biden’s “democracy” summit. I have to express my admiration of Van Der Leyen’s ability to ignore the wooden wall in her eye (no mere “mote” here) while decrying the danger that an unelected and all-powerful Empress such as she represents to democracy. I think Goebbels would stand in awe or her fearless propaganda. Having just heard her channeling the Nazi demand for absolute obedience seen in 1930s-1945 Germany when calling for mandatory vaccinations in the face of the Nuremberg Code, I suppose I should not be surprised at her absolutely tone-deaf statement on the dangers that others in positions like hers pose to… Read more »
