You may have missed that Orban was present as Chair of the European Council of Ministers and his speech addressed the challenges the EU is facing. Von der Leyen only Chair of the European commission (she is not a president) responded not to Orban speech but launched a vicious and personal attack against Orban. This is like a company CEO attacking the Chair of the board. Such CEO would be fired immediately. I reside in Europe and, more and more, am disgusted/appalled at the EU’s overall lunatic behaviour. But look at the age of the average EU parliamentarian…too young to have experienced a war in person.
