An excellent source on the origins of UK Russophobia is given in the book by EC Knuth “The Empire of The City”, which can be downloaded as pdf from InternetArchive. Written by an American who served in WW1, was 27 years old in 1928, and who went down the rabbit-hole very deeply, resulting in his well-researched and referenced book.
