EU refuses to give Poland OPT OUT option, like they gave Denmark

It hadnt been part of the original EU treaties. And both Poland and Hungary agreed to it. By that point the conflict between Brussels… Read more »

And I still am of the opinion that the EU is a BIG mistake – member nations surrendered much too much sovereignty. A “European Commonwealth” – styled after the British Commonwealth would make more sense and cause much less tensions.

You make a good point. It would help if you spelled out early on what rights Denmark has which Poland hasn’t.

The Danish reservations
Since 1994, Denmark has had four EU reservations. This means that Denmark is outside European cooperation on defense, the euro and parts of the EU’s legal policy.
