Want to move away from fossil fuels? Get rid of private transportation altogether. Then get rid of artificial fertilizers (The Green or should I say Brown Revolution) which have pumped up human populations to unsustainable levels. Build bullet train systems to connect the larger cities and abandon Air Travel as a commercial transportation option. Generate power with Thorium Nuclear Reactors.

I’m all for small mixed farms, with cows to fertilise the soil. That is the sustainable way of farming.

Well perhaps NATO will expel Turkey, to Turkey’s relief!
We should recall Turkey’s president Inonu back in the 60’s who stated astutely after complaining of a Greek attpemt at a military coup in Cyprus, something along the lines of , ‘Oh so Turkey is required to go to the assistance of fellow NATO members should an external enemy attack, but when an internal NATO member attacks Turkey, NATO members turn a blind eye”

Let’s be blunt about it. Turkey is going. but will the US accept it? I seriously doubt it! My prediction of the end of Turkey seems to be coming to fruition!
