And how amazing is it that the neocons, who’ve caused death and misery to many millions if not billions of peoples, are still in charge of US foreign policy and are currently champing at the bit for nuclear war with Russia and imagining we can also take on China. In the build-up to the Vietnam War, the US had a prowar lobby equally as fanatic and powerful as today’s neocons — this was the China lobby. I was politically aware in the early 60s. It was quite clear that the China Lobby’s goal during the entire build up to full scale war in Vietnam was war against the People’s Republic of China.
That insane goal was apposed by the US military.
