My uncle fought in the great naval battle of Jutland in WW1. The battleship in which he served was the Warspite and it was hit by German fire. Returning to base after the battle the crew were greatly amused to hear German radio report the sinking of the Warspite. He told me it was a great morale booster. Perhaps the discrepancy regarding the numbers of Ukrainian tanks and armored vehicles destroyed can be explained, at least partially, by adding in those provided by the US and/or EU co- belligerents after the commencement of actual military hostilities.
