Alastair Crooke: The next few weeks will be critical. Major changes, tectonic shifts are underway in the markets, in the real economy, in military posture and in psychology. The US is rapidly losing the war facing the asymmetrical strategy of Iran that has been planned and prepared for more than 20 years. Iran has not closed the Straight of Hormuz, but controls it completely. It lets Chinese and Russian oil tankers go through, but sinks ships of the US and its allies when they try to pass. The psychology of the whole world is changing as it is proved that the US military is not unbeatable. The Gulf states realize the US cannot protect them from Israel. At the same time, Israelis are realizing that the US cannot protect them from Iran. The idea that Israel would be a safe place for Jews is rapidly wearing off. More and more just want out, and they can’t even leave. Meanwhile, the markets are teetering and the real economy is facing collapse and depression.

I have cited this before, but from Mr Crooke’s remarks it is absolutely to the point.
“As his intuition could not be faulted with logic because it [had] a visionary origin and lacked any basis of logic, he considered them to be fault-finders and pedants and eventually he cast them aside”.
