As the US empire collapses and its colony Israel commits suicide, the BRICS conference hosted by India in New Delhi last weekend manifested the growth of a new multipolar cooperative relationship between countries. Chas Freeman says this may be accompanied by a strong concept of international law involving relations between truly sovereign countries, as the United Nations charter expresses. The UN has failed because US imperialism has not implemented its principles but rather held itself as “exceptional” and not bound by such principles. The BRICS may eventually create such an institution.
