Scott Ritter does not mince words. Russia cannot be stopped from achieving its objectives, which, as stated in the beginning, are the demilitarization and de-Nazification of Ukraine. This applies to the whole of Ukraine. It does not allow for the continued existence of a “rump” or failed-state Ukraine infested with Nazi revanchists and Western agents on its border. Professor Mearsheimer is wrong about this. It won’t be an “ugly peace” something like Korea that he envisions. Russia will smash the existing Banderite state, install a Russia-friendly administration in Kiev that will cooperate in the de-Nazification and constitute a Russian “sister state” together with Belarus. The independence of Ukraine was an accident of history. It was supposed to be a neutral country to begin with, and that is what it will be under a new administration. Once under this new administration Russia will rebuild the whole area. As to Europe, Putin will not retaliate against the Three Mouseketeers for sending drones to Ukraine, but will patiently wait for their idiot leaders to fall along with their economies, hopefully to be replaced by leaders with whom it is possible to do business. Similarly, Putin is probably hoping that the Trump phenomenon will not last much longer either, but meanwhile he is just trying to keep Trump calm as possible before he does something catastrophic. It will be up to the American people to remove him as soon as possible.
