Mr Zelensky’s military policy is almost identical to Adolf Hitler’s after 1942. He always insists on “holding every inch of territory” and establishing “fortresses”. The inevitable result is that soldiers are surrounded and killed or captured. That’s what happens when politicians take control of the armed forces.
