Scotland’s Hate Speech Law has filtered over into X/Twitter. Over the Easter weekend, I made a joke about the picture of the Bidens with two Easter Bunnies – one dressed as a male bunny and one dressed as a female bunny. I commented that, considering it was Transgender Visibility Day, as well as Easter, the bunnies looked suspiciously cisgender. So the IOC is going to ban any RF athlete from Paris Olympics who expresses support for the current government? Based on recent Russian Presidential Election results , that would exclude over 80% of Russians.
Therefore, there is a high likelihood that any RF athlete would be in support of the government and its policies. Sounds a bit like collective punishment to me, certainly not an expressed ideal of the IOC.
