The Mossad campaign to blow up Hezbollah fighters has been sickeningly described in the western press as ‘audacious’, ‘brilliant’, ‘daring’ and many more glowing descriptions of what was, basically, an irresponsible exercise in sophisticated terrorism. There was no guarantee (as was shown by the death of children and injury of paramedics) that the explosions would target Hezbollah. Certainly, the explosions the next day of car radios, walkie talkies, solar panels etc. must have caused the majority of injuries amongst civilians. Alex was talking about anything made in Israel is now suspect. However, I haven’t bought anything from Israel for years. I was admiring some earrings at a show and the lady told me they had been made in Israel. With an ‘oh no’, I walked away. The same goes for a piece of fruit, in fact anything.
So many people feel that way now that I understand Israel is economically on its knees because no one wants to do business with them or invest in Israeli companies (at least not until they have obliterated Gaza and start work on the Ben Gurion Canal – then the unscrupulous investors will come out of the woodwork).
