St. Petersburg is celebrating its annual White Nights Festival of music and culture. Recently, festival attendees and locals witnessed the famous Scarlet Sails flotilla sail past the waterfront.
The event is led by a replica of the Shtandart, the first ship in Russia’s Baltic fleet, sailing through the St. Petersburg waterfront to a highly choreographed display of lights, fireworks, lasers and music.
This year’s celebration was one of the most technically superb to-date.
Check out these stunning photos.
