BEIJING (Sputnik) – The world-renowned opera singers Anna Netrebko and Yusif Eyvazov, as well as one of the most famous tenors in the world – Spain’s opera singer Placido Domingo – will perform on the Red Square on July 13, 2018 during the concert on the occasion of 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, Netrebko and Eyvazov told Sputnik in an interview.
“We will have a big concert on the Red Square on July 13 on the occasion of the World Cup,”
Eyvazov said.
“It will be a big concert. Placido Domingo will be singing with us,”
Netrebko added.
Eyvazov explained that it would be a concert for four voices – soprano, mezzo-soprano, tenor, and baritone.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup will be held in Russia from June 14 to July 15. The games will be hosted by Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Volgograd, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Saransk, Rostov-on-Don, Yekaterinburg, and Sochi.
