A whistleblower with the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), responsible for conducting an independent investigation into the alleged chemical attack in the Syrian town of Douma on April 7, 2018, has presented WikiLeaks with a body of evidence suggesting the chemical weapons watchdog agency manipulated and suppressed evidence.
A prior official OPCW report of the investigation issued last March found “reasonable grounds” for believing a toxic chemical was used against civilians, likely chlorine. Long prior to any independent investigators reaching the site, however, Washington had launched major tomahawk airstrikes against Damascus in retribution for “Assad gassing his own people”.

Sitting a few yards from me in the Oxford science library are two retired academics, a geologist and a mathematician, who think New York Times propaganda on Syria is the truth and I am rather dim not to see it. I can’t wait to see their faces should their favourite rag spill these beans.
Oh, heck….my Harvard med grad nephew-in-law quoted me some drivel years back from the WaPo about how Crimea had sunk into total despair and ruin after being ‘forced back’ into Russia and I broke out laughing. I asked him, ‘do you just read the studies that Pfizer publishes on the efficacy of its new drugs?’ I think it registered but honestly, I’m not so sure.

With analytical skills like those, I can see why they retired.
Chlorine is not a chemical weapon because it isn’t useful as a weapon. It diffuses too quickly to be effective. In closed spaces it can be a problem but chemical weapons are used outdoors.
So, when NATO purposely bombed a chlorine plant in Serbia that, had they not managed to empty the tanks hours before, would have unleashed a huge chlorine cloud over populated areas, it was not an intended war crime? Oh well, there were always the hundreds of tons or more of carcinogenic chemicals unleashed into the Danube and of course, littering the civilian landscape with 10% unexploded cluster munitions and DU that brought NATO’s score back into line.
The OPCW is clearly compromised, just like the JIT. I knew it definitively when the US pushed to give it the power to name perpetrators. That was a major ‘tell’ that it had become just another useful idiot agency.
I found some bird droppings on my porch yesterday. I called 911 and reported pending attacks by killer ravens and can they send a SWAT team.
Anyway, I hear they found something like 2 PPB of some chlorine-based chemistry in their samples, like maybe a wood preservative (wow, maybe the stuff used to bug treat pallets for intl shipping, now I’ve thought about it). I sort of laughed since the FDA limit in food packaging is 5 PPB for nasty carcinogens.
