“We will not be debt slaves!” OXI expected to get 61% of vote

Greece has spoken.

Using the one tool that Brussels fears the most, democracy, Greece has delivered a message that, even in the midst of bank closures and financial uncertainty, they refuse to be debt slaves under banker occupation.

Singular Logic, the company counting votes has given OXI (NO) vote a 61% win.

The risks going forward are huge for Greece, and stakes are high for the European project.

Tomorrow we will see if Tsipras’ gamble has paid off and a viable solution to the Greek crisis can finally come to fruition.
