Tucker shows murder charge nonsense in Rayshard killing [Video]

The much longer video establishes clear context, showing no excessive use of force in this incident

The (white) officer who shot and killed (black) Rayshard Brooks is now up on murder charges for shooting and killing him. But this charge is completely unfounded. Tucker Carlson showed a much fuller account of the situation, and when viewed in context, it becomes immediately clear how utterly politically charged the murder rap is, as well as the extreme tribalism and racism on display – not that of the police officer who killed Rayshard, but of the black liberals who run the government in Atlanta. Keep in mind that this is a tragedy for Rayshard, but that he brought that tragedy on himself by fighting the police. This is extremely straightforward and ought to give a very clear example of how the issue at hand is definitely not unfair treatment of black people by white police officers in the United States, but rather, radical leftism.

The tragedy goes in several directions. Here are some of the most important ones:

  1. Rayshard Brooks is dead. But he is dead because he acted violently, and there is a good chance that this man, who had a criminal record already, somehow saw this as a “breakaway moment” in the the spirit of many rap songs that bitterly excoriate “bad white cops.” That, even though this violence is dangerous and in this case, deadly.
  2. Rayshard’s wife and daughters are now without a father. – Who can account for the damage this has already caused and will cause? Yet, the question remains – why would Mr. Brooks not think of this himself before taking his own life in his hands and fighting the police?
  3. The police officer and his family are now in the mess. Officer Garrett Rolfe was being fired upon by Brooks with a Taser. While a Taser is not deadly as a gun is, it doesn’t matter. (In Georgia law, a Taser IS considered a deadly weapon. So…) If you attack a cop like that, he is going to defend himself. But the politicization of this situation is presently being carried out with great force. While it is not likely that the officer is actually going to get convicted of murder, he surely is going to suffer through incarceration, the trial, the press, the insanity of the left using his situation to try to destroy others – This poor man may end up seriously considering suicide for doing what he was trained to do. And indeed, in the video, there is nothing that shows Officer Rolfe had any animus towards Mr. Brooks at all.
  4. The riots and demonstrations acquire extra fuel. These riots are completely predicated on the fantasy that all white cops have it in for black people. This is completely and verifiably false, but it remains the narrative that the news media push and many Americans who refuse to think for themselves believe, and that without question.

No matter what ‘reforms’ take place, the leftist activists driving this – the Soros-funded, Clinton Foundation supported efforts – will not stop here. The American government is so badly weakened in its resolve by decades of self-destruction, selling out the nation’s Constitution, Christian roots for nanny state operations that the only real way to correct this is a grassroots movement from the people of the United States taking action.

In fact, this is reportedly happening. Reports abound about how armed private citizens are guarding monuments and statues that might be targeted for “historical whitewashing” pull downs by angry leftists. Truckers are reported to be refusing to deliver goods to left-leaning cities, and a group of bikers has amassed at least 1,000 volunteers (with 15,000 more interested) in retaking the seven blocks of Seattle’s Capitol Hill district and giving the police department of that city their station back. The set date for this is July 4th, 2020, if the CHAZ / CHOP / name du jour group don’t give up before then.

And they may. They are out of coffee and since the district does not produce any food, it has to rely on donations from the outside. Who will keep this farce running that long?

These days, it is hard to know.

If Brooks had done the same in any country in Europe he would still be alive. Same goes for many countries outside of Europe. Russia, Canada, OZ and NZ come to mind right away. Therein lies the difference.   There is no reason to shoot a man, in the back mind you, once he has discharged the single charge weapon in his possession and then runs away. Brooks was confirmed to be unarmed otherwise. While I do not agree with Brooks’ actions and agree that his actions were just plain stupid, that is what police must expect when dealing with… Read more »

Side note: In the Sun article linked above [if Brooks had a criminal record] it says the following:
“Garrett Rolfe [the officer who shot Brooks], 27, is now facing 11 charges, including murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.”

11 charges! How can one event amount to 11 charges? That is a system designed to punish and punish in the most extreme way.

This requires more reform than just police reform.

Clarity how about you sign up for the police dept and show us how it is done. The Countries you mentioned dont have scumbags and thugs like we have. They dont get 100 chances before they lock them away forever. You sound like an idiot

I agree on the scumbags and thugs part. Prefer to live in a place that isn’t full of them. What does that say about your country?

Actually, I have several friends and professional acquaintances who are police and who agree with me. In the US. I guess they are idiots too then. Doesn’t change the fact that Brooks would still be alive had this not happened in the US or some other lawless place.

In the US justice system, issues are carefully separated. One action may have various sub actions or fall under more than one law. That is both to make sure a defendant cannot get away due to technical problem in a count. Often criminal defendants are dangerous and you don’t want someone to wiggle out of a count because it doesn’t entirely fit the crime. To avoid that, issues are separated and pleaded separately. It’s that way in other countries as well, though sentencing may follow different rules. Admitted that in the US, sentencing us often gothic.

Other countries do that as well and then use the sentence for the highest ranking verdict in the chain as the final sentence. Tell me how a 91 year old sentence for a robbery in which no one got harmed is justified? Tell me how 11 charges are justified for the cop shooting that man? What are they separating out?

Indeed, there is a whole bunch wrong with policing and the so-called “Criminal Justice” system in America.

Rather than “Protect and Serve” as a police motto, “Incriminate and Incarcerate” would probably fit the bill better.

But if you do get nailed under present conditions, you certainly won’t help your situation by attempting to fight or flee. And if Congenital Stupidity were a crime in America, they would have to build way more prisons to deal with that.

I absolutely agree. Then again, people under the influence have been known to do stupid things. In this case stupidity killed.

In all of Switzerland firearms were used 12 times in 2018 and 15 times in 2019. No people were killed.

In Poland the deaths by police range from one to three per year.

In France I only came up with a stat for 2018 – 26 people were killed by police. France has about one fifth the population of the US, so adjusted for size that would mean 130 people would be killed by US police to be on par with France.

wrong not all Europe! In the UK yes but who wants to live there when it has a mixer rate higher than NY! Rape, assault, acid attacks, killing with guns knives machetes….no thanks. I’ve known several leave and migrate to the U.S. because it is much safer here!

Europe generally had way less crime than the US and way less violence. With increasing immigration that started to change. Police in Europe is now armed too. It used to not be armed! As people from different cultures start to commit crimes fit for the Middle Ages, by necessity, European police will become more brutal as well.

Don’t expect the police to be friendly while you can shoot at them!

Being drunk is not a criminal offense. Usually they take drunk people to the police post and throw them in a cell where they can sleep out their drunkenness. The next morning they let them go. They might even have driven him back to the parking lot where his car ended up parked after some discussion. That is how things are done in MA, independent of color of police or defendant. If that is not how it’s done on Atlanta, where this altercation took place, that is the problem of the system, not a singular policeman. While it is true… Read more »

Regula, I never stated that being drunk is a criminal offense, on the contrary, I stated that people can do stupid things when drunk and police knows that and should be prepared for that. That includes that people under the influence of something can exhibit superhuman strength. One more reason not to take the hands off the guy.   I recommend you see the long version of the video. The police talked to Brooks for over 40 minutes and everything was calm. He blew over on the breathalizer and was then told that he was going to be arrested. Both… Read more »

He fired the taser injuring the other cop while running away! He got what he deserved!

Once a taser is discharged the shooter is out of ammo and thus no longer armed. He was shot well after discharge and while running away. A person running away is no longer a threat. Poor judgement on the cop’s side. Who btw did not think Brooks got what he deserved but rather pleaded that Mr. Brooks keep breathing while he administered first aid. A terrible mistake. No one deserves to die. Gosh, what kind of person would think that way or upvote such a sentiment…

And we have another Armchair cop. Get your ass in the dept and show us how its done. You people make me sick. The George Floyd was horrible but he will be punished. To see this one wasnt justified just shows how little respect you have for what a cop deals with on a daily with all thugs they deal with. It is sad Brooks died but he was a thug who caused his own fate.

yes and no. He was not a thug, his record was limited to domestic violence. Not trying to downplay that but a thug’s life is usually a bit more colorful than that. And he has not re-offended since 2016. His reaction was certainly stupid and unjustified, just like the shooting was. The cop involved clearly regretted his action while administering first aid. Was probably shocked at himself. A lot of what ifs for the yes. But enough reasons for saying that no, he did not cause his own fate. For that to happen he would have had to shoot himself.… Read more »
