Targeted by feminists, Bear Grylls series, The Island, gets a second season

Bear Grylls is one tough dude. The British adventurer and now TV producer / personality just got his The Island survival show renewed for second run in 2015. The only snag is that while British Channel 4 has given the green light for season two, it has not been decided whether it will stay as an all-male format.

As Digital Spy UK summarises…

The show has been a ratings success for Channel 4 since launching earlier this month, averaging 2.9m viewers.

The Island is centred around 13 men while they attempt to survive on a deserted island for 28 days.

So who is Bear Grylls? Aside from being a Karate Black Belt, serving for three years with the British Special Air Service (21 SAS), specialising in combat survival, and being trained in evasive driving, parachuting, demolitions, trauma medic, unarmed combat and jungle warfare, we have this additional impressive accomplishment to add to the list, via Wikipedia:

On 16 May 1998, Grylls achieved his childhood dream climbed to the summit of Mount Everest, 18 months after breaking three vertebrae in a parachuting accident.At 23, he was at the time among the youngest people to have achieved this feat.

To prepare for climbing at such high altitudes in the Himalayas, in 1997, Grylls became the youngest Briton to climb Ama Dablam, a peak once described by Sir Edmund Hillary as “unclimbable”.

His other expeditions include, circumnavigation of the UK, crossing the North Atlantic, paramotoring over Angel Falls, paramotoring over the Himalayas, leading a team of four to climb one of the most remote unclimbed peaks in the world in Antarctica and along with the double amputee Al Hodgson and the Scotsman Freddy MacDonald, set a Guinness world record in 2008 for the longest continuous indoor free fall.

Damn this guy is a stud! Unfortunately he faces a bigger survival challenge than all the above, the liberal left feminists agenda. For this Grylls had this to say:

“It’s nothing to do with whether women are stronger or men are stronger – it wasn’t about that. This is about a study of modern man’s struggles, and I can’t wait to do modern women’s struggles.”
