Putin fires back at EU resolution claiming USSR & Germany “paved the way” for WW2 by The Duran

The Duran Quick Take: Episode 415. The Duran’s Alex Christoforou and Editor-in-Chief Alexander Mercouris discuss Vladimir Putin’s fiery address to the Defense Ministry board, where the Russian President took to task and debunked a bizarre European Parliament resolution trying to place the blame of World War 2 on the Soviet Union.

Via RT…

Some nations in Europe that colluded with Adolf Hitler and applauded his anti-Semitic crusade, now demolish Soviet war memorials and seek to equate the USSR with Nazi Germany, the Russian president noted, during a formal speech.

Vladimir Putin recalled the vicious developments that preceded the Second World War, in an address to the Defense Ministry board on Tuesday, telling his audience there was one particular fact in the archive files that touched him the most. Back in 1938, Adolf Hitler hosted the Polish Ambassador to Germany Jozef Lipski and shared with him a plan to send European Jews to Africa where they would surely perish, Putin said.

“The Ambassador in Poland replied, and then wrote it down in his cable to the Polish Foreign Minister: ‘I told Hitler that, if he does, we will erect a magnificent monument to him in Warsaw’,” the President quoted from the archive data, before turning somewhat emotional.

He was a bastard, an anti-Semitic pig, there’s no other way of saying it. He fully agreed with Hitler in his anti-Semitic sentiments and, moreover, promised him he’d erect a monument in Warsaw to his abuse of the Jewish people.

Putin’s words were aimed at a bizarre resolution by the European Parliament, which claimed that the 1939 non-aggression treaty between the USSR and Nazi Germany – known as the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact by the names of Soviet and German Foreign Ministers – had “paved the way for the outbreak of the Second World War.”

But to Putin, signing a pact with Hitler was choosing between bad and worse, namely, the Soviet Union having less time to prepare for the German offensive. Meanwhile, other European nations did not behave any better, he reminded.

Starting from 1938, when Hitler lodged his claims to a part of Czechoslovakia, Great Britain and France surrendered their ally, although [Prague] had a mutual assistance agreement with France, and provided Hitler with the opportunity to seize [the German-inhabited regions of the country].

A year later, the Third Reich invaded Poland, the Eastern European country that had actually “colluded” with Hitler before the war, as historical records tell.

“It is these people who negotiated with Hitler back in the day, it is this sort of people that demolish monuments commemorating Red Army soldiers, who liberated European countries and peoples from the Nazis,” the President concluded. “They are their followers.”

@Ole C G Olesen – Well, dear son of discord: It doesn´t make any sense to keep on pleasurably wallowing in stepmother´s slurry pool. Better mind your own moonshine drivel and study real geopolitical history in times of daily mainstream intoxication and Jung-Food addiction for brainwashed hillbillies.

With all due respect Putin but nitpicking is a little benieth you and narrow mined to say the least. WW2 was a result of WW1 and the same politics that inspired it. There was a lot of imperialist shenannigans that went on that boiled over between empires and emergent powers. After WW1 a rot was sewn that Hitler detested and even Stalin was weary off, but were Hitler sought a greater Germany beyond restoration of former dominion, Stalin wasn’t keen to be involved at all. It was England and France who wanted Russia in as a Bulwark to distract Germany.… Read more »

A regular poster on here, Eric Zuesse, has written a book I am VERY interested in reading, “Why the Holocaust Happened : Its Religious Cause & Scholarly Cover-Up”, but it has been out of print for some time, and is quite difficult to obtain. I remember as a teenager, reading in a history book about large numbers of Canadian, British and American troops secretly being sent to Russia to fight in the Bolshevik revolution on the side of the white Russians. I sure as hell don’t remember hearing about THAT in high school history class! It was one of my… Read more »

Regarding Hitler and Stalin, there is a very interesting article on TASS, quoting President Vladimir Putin: Stalin, unlike Europe’s leaders, did not disgrace himself by meeting with Hitler — Putin The Russian president noted that the archive documents contain frank evaluations of the events of the time of Nazism MOSCOW, December 24. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has pointed to a stark contrast between Soviet leader Joseph Stalin’s actions and the attitude of other European leaders towards Adolf Hitler. “Starting from 1934 there began to emerge a legal basis for collaboration of many European countries with Germany. An overwhelming majority… Read more »

You mean Stalin lacked the balls to meet another head of state in person? But was okay in meeting a representative of Hitler, so the Soviet and Nazi thugs could divide Europe among themselves.

Stalin certainly lacked no balls and met whomever he deemed worthy to meet. He even met Roosevelt once, although he despised and disliked him, and rightly so. From the Soviet point of view, the US and Roosevelt were TRAITORS.

It’s a fair point, but if the words used are accurate, it’s a bit arrogant. It wasn’t an inherent disgrace to meet with a maniac, especially if no one wanted a conflict. It may have at best been hopeful of western powers to believe placation was the way to go, but equally if playing possum gives time then it is a valid approach. Now saying that I agree the West likely had alterior motives and a hope to control Hitler or use the tensions another way, but failed to appreciate Hitler wasn’t playing their game and so he was deposed.… Read more »

But I don’t think many would argue that the limited influence Russia has gained by having a dialog with Korea has born largely positive fruit? The idea that you “punish” dictators (I wont even delve into the REAL US position on this, we all know it chapter and verse) by refusing dialog with them is largely based on the Judeo-Christian-Islamic idea of shunning those you disagree with. The presumption at the center of it (TRULY laughable when you consider that the Americans are main ones that push this bullshit narrative) is that you are so infinitely “morally superior” and “closer… Read more »

The problem we in the West are faced with, is that it becomes virtually impossible for any of us to have even the remotest understanding as to what any country that is considered an existential enemy of the US is all about. I base this on my own personal experience of having visited China and Vietnam, and then comparing that with what I have read, even after extensive research and efforts on my part to glean out the more blatant propaganda. Vietnam is particularly jarring, perhaps because I have spent a lot of time there, and am “embedded” in the… Read more »

I suspect the greatest failure is the the evidential occurance of believing we are Gods in our own right. As we delude ourselves into the notion that to be examples of what we preach, we are what preach, we somehow transend the facts we are as capable of that which we denounce. It may be a cliche and circumstancial as the million monkeys but we have spoken more truth in ignorance and yet have been too blind and arrogant as to never be humble infront of that which we see…ourselves. We truly are dispicaple lot.

Book: Pawns In The Game, 1955, by WWII Canadian naval intelligence officer William Guy Carr. Looks at the influence of money on history from “European Financiers” funding Cromwell during English Civil War to 1955. Some most interesting perspectives which we are not taught in schools. Rothschild’s 25-point plot for world domination, via freemasonry, was drawn up (modernised) by Adam Weishaupt, an ex(?) Jesuit Professor of RC canon (Church) law, 1773. It’s shown in chapter 3, on the French Revolution. A consortium of banks, US & European, funded Lenin & Trotsky $50,000,000 in 1917, during WWI, to effect the Bolshevik Revolution,… Read more »

I read “The Creature From Jekyll Island” or should say, started to. So many of his assertions were unsupported, and the tone was so high strung, I felt Griffin himself wasn’t credible. That isn’t to say that I necessarily believed that the basic premise of the book wasn’t accurate, but I felt he wasn’t credible. I am still very much open to a good book on the Federal Reserve, I just felt that wasn’t it. I also felt that his constantly trying to push his Libertarianism at every turn wasn’t pertinent to the subject, and was a constant distraction. I… Read more »

Ha, some years ago Putin claimed that Stalin’s deal with Hitler, which was a lot more than a non-aggression pact, was not representative of Russia. Putin insisted it was a personal scheme of Stalin. Now he’s backtracking? The seeds of WW2 were sown by Woodrow Wilson and the others at Versailles. And lest we forget, it was the Allies who declared war on Nazi Germany, not the other way around!

The Soviet Union was part of the “Allies”. The Soviet Union did not declare war on Nazi Germany, but Nazi Germany invaded the Soviet Union and “declared war”. Your view is warped, keep to the facts! And do not misinterprete Putin’s words, but read his interviews and speeches carefully instead.

Hitler’s invasion of Russia was a pre-emptive strike against the planned massive invasion of all of Western Europe by the Jewish Bolshevik Communist Soviets. Sadly he was delayed five or six weeks by that idiot Mussolini’s adventurism in Greece. Were it not for that the world would be a different and much better place for white European peoples today.

Stalin wanted a united front against Hitler but Chamberlain was too busy bending over for him. The Brits started WWII, like most wars it wants to be front and center in. Just admit it, Brits. Starting wars is in your DNA.

Very true! And the US coward Roosevelt diddled and daddled, postponed endlessly, until he finally sent US troops to “land in Normandy”, after the Soviets had already born the brunt of the Nazi invasion in the Soviet Union and won the war.

Chamberlain was a far better statesman than that drunken war-mongering Jew-puppet Churchill the narcissist. He turned down over a dozen peace offers from Hitler because he was a slave to the bankers of the City of London and the Board of Jewish Deputies. And THEIR agenda was the total destruction of Germany and her people.

To make it very clear and understandable for every partner on this forum. The “annexation” of the so called Eastern Poland in autumn 1939 by the Soviet Union was the result of a former 18 year occupation of Western Ukraine by the fascist polish entity since the extortionate peace treaty of 1921 in Riga. In other words – Ukrainians, Germans of Volhynia, Jews and ordinary Polish as well down to Halych-Galicia and the Western-Carpathians had to suffer from the arrogance of the well-known “Polski Pan” who dominated now 18 years long the western part of Ukraine.

No. It was massive Polish atrocity-provocation around Danzig, against German nationals egged on by the “Allies”, that caused Hitler to invade Poland and give the “Allies” the excuse that the globalist bankers had been waiting for.
