Robert Mueller’s dual Wednesday testimonies were, by most accounts, a total disaster for Democrats hoping to bolster the case for impeaching President Trump.

Not only were there no smoking guns, Mueller’s stumbling, fumbling, confused performance alone was a massive backfire for Democrats looking to spotlight the former FBI Director – whose ‘stellar reputation’ as a career public servant melted away to reveal a befuddled old man who was clearly unfamiliar with his own report.

Mollie on Twitter: “Robert Mueller literally just said he wasn’t familiar with Fusion GPS. My Lord. My Lord. / Twitter”

Don’t take our word for it. Filmmaker Michael Moore perfectly captures the somber tone amongst Democrats panning Mueller’s Wednesday performance.

“frail old man, unable to remember things, stumbling, refusing to answer basic questions…I said it in 2017 and Mueller confirmed it today,” tweeted Moore, adding “All you pundits and moderates and lame Dems who told the public to put their faith in the esteemed Robert Mueller — just STFU from now on.”

Moore was joined by the likes of Chuck Todd, Michael Isikoff, and NeverTrumper Bill Kristol.

“On optics, this was a disaster,” tweeted Todd.

“Impeachment’s over,” said ANC News Senior National Correspondent Terry Moran.

CNN’s Oliver Darcey tweeted “Seems pretty clear at this point that Mueller is not the best spokesperson for his own report.”

Yahoo News’ resident deep state conduit Michael Isikoff even agreed, “Mueller seems increasingly befuddled.”

Even NeverTrumper Bill Kristol struggled to find a silver lining.

Bill Kristol on Twitter: “These could both be true: Robert Mueller isn’t a dazzling or dynamic or even a particularly compelling witness at a congressional hearing; and his report, along with his testimony, is entirely truthful and damning. / Twitter”

White House counsel Jay Sekulow sums it up:

Jay Sekulow on Twitter: “…who, as hard as they tried, were unable to establish either obstruction, conspiracy, or collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. It is also clear that the Special Counsel conducted his two-year investigation unimpeded. / Twitter”

Mueller is a lawyer. He testified in his capacity as special prosecutor, not as a person. What you saw in his testimony is a very accurate image of the Dems’ cause of Russiagate: old, tired, tattered, unwilling to acknowledge even the facts, and far from a cause for either impeachment or obstruction of justice. The case for Russian interference in the election meanwhile collapsed in the Stone trial when Binney testified to the forensics of a leak not hack and the FBI never examined the server as there was no cause to do so. The ad campaign by the troll… Read more »

It is clear, undeniably, that Mr. Mueller did not write the report; most likely he did not even read it.
However he did make a nice sum of tax-payer money from it and his FBI directorship- ‘Iraq has WMD’ -reputation
was publicly whitewashed. Oh the USA, how long can you lie to yourself?

Mueller’s much greater achievement was successfully running cover, as part of Operation Mockingbird, by covering up the Cheney/Busch/Silverstain [sic] WTC Demolition Conspiracy. Fortuitously enough, for the conspirators, Mueller was Head of the FBI when that mass crime occurred; And the infamous shill Tenet, now a holder of the Congressional Medal of Honor for his rape of the truth, was serendipitous Head of the CIA.

His father may have been Heinrich Mueller, head of the German Gestapo until 1945, but this breeding experiment called ‘Robert’ has resulted in an inferior animal, with feet of Operation Paperclip.

In reality Mueller was great: he didn’t want to testify so as not to create any discrepancies with his report and he didn’t testify: it’s in the report; I can’t speak to that; could you repeat your question; I take your question is all the Dems got from him. Meanwhile he was trolling the Dems masterfully by forgetting what is in the report, giving an air of morbidity and old age incoherence and exhaustion: the true image of the Dem’s not wanting to let go of a dead horse. And the cherry on top: you can still prosecute Trump after… Read more »
