The Duran’s Alex Christoforou and Editor-in-Chief Alexander Mercouris discuss how Malaysia’s Prime Minister, Mahathir Mohamad, has condemned murder charges brought against Russian and Ukrainian nationals as part of a Dutch-led investigation into the 2014 crash of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17.

The Malaysian PM said the charges are politically motivated. “As far as we are concerned we want proof of guilt,” he said. “But so far, there is no proof. Only hearsay.”

Malaysian PM CRUSHES Dutch – Led MH17 Report, “no Proof, Only Hearsay” by The Duran

The Duran Quick Take: Episode 212.

Via RT…

Malaysia is “unhappy” about the findings of the Dutch-led inquiry into the MH17 crash, which pointed the finger at Russia even before the probe began, the country’s PM said, noting that there was more politics than fact-finding.

Mahathir Mohamad, Malaysia’s prime minister, voiced his unease after the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) revealed the latest results of the investigation. The group was quick to implicate Moscow – and this is why, according to the PM, Malaysia isn’t convinced of the probe’s integrity.

We are very unhappy. From the very beginning, it became a political issue on how to accuse Russia of the wrongdoing.

“Even before they examined the case, they have already claimed it [the shooting down of MH17] was done by Russia,” the prime minister said as cited by the local media.

On Wednesday, the JIT flagged four individuals – three Russians and one Ukrainian – as key suspects in the tragedy.

The investigators accuse them of playing a significant role in shooting down the MH17, by receiving a surface-to-air Buk missile, allegedly from Russia. Both Moscow and the international investigators agree that the Malaysian Boeing, with 298 people on board, was taken down by a Buk missile.

Moscow, however, insists the Buk belonged to the Ukrainian military, and was a type of missile not in service in the armed forces of Russia anymore.

Malaysia, which has kept an eye on the investigation since its inception, wants “proof of guilt [that Russia did it].”

So far, “there is no proof, only hearsay,” Mahathir insisted.

The crash was also investigated by the Dutch Safety Board, which focused on the technical part of the tragedy. Notably, it criticized Ukraine for not closing the airspace during the 2014 armed conflict in the east which also contributed to the fatal incident. However, their final report contained many “inconsistencies” and “unsubstantiated claims,” Moscow has said.

The government of Ukraine was, at the very least, guilty of allowing the flight path of the civilian airliner into a war zone – something no responsible government sould ever allow!

MH-17 was a planned (how planned and who else was involved is arguable) operation. Kolomoiski was part of the money side. The Buk was supposed to take it down. The back up were the two fighters jets (some say one but I figure there were two) to make sure MH-17 went down. When the Buk didn’t do the job the fighter jet (piloted by a Ukrainian as far as I can figure) strafed MH-17 making sure that the pilot cabin was completely dead and that MH-17 was going down. There was some speculation that the hoped for target was Putin… Read more »

Kolomoiski admits it. You can watch him admitting to it on YouTube. He admits it and shrugs it off as one of those things that happen. Russia has also proven that the Buk battery was in the hands of the Ukraine army when JIT showed the serial number to the accused Buk, Russia had all the paperwork to where it was. It’s indisputable.

Hasn’t youtube purged all the evidence of war crimes by US compliant parties already?

Their ‘responsible new government’ was probably too busy spending US dollars on hookers, booze and real estate to bother, like that Guaido character.

MH17 was shot down to punish both Malaysia and the EU who at the time still refused to impose sanctions on Russia. Malaysia had signed a free trade agreement with China short before the incident. The majority of passengers were Dutch and including one world renowned expert in AIDS research. The second largest group of passengers were Malays. The only country engaging in such terror ops is the US/CIA. Remember the murders of Iranian scientists by the CIA/Mossad to decimate Iranian nuclear knowhow and the downing of an Iranian civilian airliner by the US military. Because the downing of MH17… Read more »

Also Kiev air traffic control refuse to release records of plane as it traveled through that airspace (including area where it was downed)

With all of the satellites monitoring the skies over the Ukraine at that time, some country, whether US, UK, etc. knows who shot down flight MH17.

US keeps the MH17 satellite data classified. NATO doesn’t publish their own radar data. The JIT keeps secret the MH17 black boxes data. Russia published their MH17 radar data which show a jet fighter in the proximity of MH17 at the time when it disappeared from their radar. JIT chose to neglect all Russian contribution to investigate MH17. All evidence point to a jet fighter attack on MH17. Yet the JIT invented the MH17 BUK theory. …I think the Donbass guys committed a major error of judgement when they passed the black boxes to some other party than the Malaysian… Read more »

The NATO and EU expansion hit a snag in 2014 when Donbass rose up against the coup installed government in Kiev. A false flag to blame the rebels was badly needed to eventually trigger a NATO intervention in the conflict to support Kiev. How many innocents were to perish was nobody’s concern when the attack on MH17 was planned.
Now it’s all about the cover-up: JIT and their governments, Bellingcat, main stream media, all are tuned to hide the truth. Next to enter the game is the judiciary, an incredibly corrupt structure, especially in the Netherlands.

It’s hard not to corrupt a judiciary that gets free hookers, legally…. by the very laws it passed. LOL

Of course there’s proof…lying in the Russian ledger showing that the missile of record was shipped to Ukraine in the late 80’s. All it takes is one li’l old forensic inspection of the ledger’s ink. Wonder why the JIT never requested it. Hmmm

“Both Moscow and the international investigators agree that the Malaysian Boeing, with 298 people on board, was taken down by a Buk missile”. WTF, is Moscow complicit in some sort of cover up when there is not one shred of evidence or motive for them to have done this despicable act?? The damage to MH17 is not consistent with what would be expected from a missile.

yhe little bits of that bulk missile easily could have been assembled oto another type of missle and all those round 30mm holes are in need of a proofed explanation.
