It’s not all about the debt crisis, Troika, and Yanis Varoufakis in Greece. Their is still football to be played.
This weekend clashes broke out before the big Athens football derby between age old enemies Olympiakos and Panathinaikos.
The violence started when Panathinaikos (PAO) supporters threw a barrage of fireworks and flares at the Olympiakos FC President, Vagelis Marinakis, as he attempted to walk onto the pitch and towards the PAO goal post.
Fans eventually broke down barricades and stormed the field.
Oh, and the final result: Panathinaikos 2, Olympiakos 1.
