Concluding remarks on the U.S. Election – Donald Trump for President

The American election cycle is a long and arduous journey from the inane to the surreal, to the frightening. Somewhere along the way, in this particular election cycle, the trajectory of the whole process transformed from being one of ‘how low can America go’, to a clear choice between the following: war versus peace, globalism versus protectionism, cosmopolitanism versus patriotism, mad idealism versus pragmatism. In each of these dichotomies, Hillary Clinton represents the former and Donald Trump represents the latter.

For these reasons alone, anyone concerned about both the fate of the world and of America ought to vote for Trump.

He is more than a one-off, more than lucky shot. Donald Trump is a man who has risen to the occasion, knowing full well that one doesn’t always get to choose the timing of the occasion to which one must rise. He is more than just the antithesis of the evil that Hillary Clinton represents. It is true that she is the most dangerous candidate to run for President in US history, but Trump offers more than a passive alternative. Donald Trump offers a real chance of getting the priorities right.

He wants cooperation with Russia rather than war, he wants to fight barbarous Islamic terrorism and not President Assad. He acknowledges that the wars on Iraq and Libya were disasters. His opponent glories in them. He is opposed to culture and job destroying globalism, whilst Hillary Clinton is an architect of both.

There is only one clear choice, the choice is Trump. Not only do I fully endorse him, but I predict that unless the election is rigged further that it has already proved to be rigged, Trump can and will win. He represents the real America, the tired America, the used and abused America, and the war weary America. He speaks for the America looking for its own voice, an America sick, tired and fed up of politicians speaking on behalf of alien interests for alien dollars.

But I fear the end of this saga is not a positive one. The recent security breach at a Trump rally in Nevada conjures up images of a former anti-war, anti-establishment, famous individual. It conjures images of Robert Kennedy’s dead body in the kitchen of the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles.

There are many vested interests who want Trump to ‘go away’. I fear this may result in his death. I fear moreover, that violence may ring down on his supporters. To paraphrase Lord Grey, ‘The lamps are going out all over America, we shall not see them lit again in our life-time’. If Donald Trump is allowed to win and lead, the lights will be re-lit, otherwise, things will get incredibly and inexorably dark, the result of which will be in a word;  terrible.

My great hope is counterbalanced by a sense of great foreboding. Thus we come to Russia. Much has been made, and quite rightly so, of Hillary Clinton’s desire to wage war on Russia. Should she win, she may attempt to do so. Yet, Russia shall neither falter nor fail. If Hillary Clinton and her establishment cronies cling onto power, the first victim will be the United States itself.

Russia has been weathering storms for centuries, long before the United States existed. If Hillary wins, all hell will reign down, if Trump wins there is a legitimate opportunity for peace. Russia shall survive one way or the other. It is others who must examine their own values and own perspectives on a life fit to live.

My final word on the election is this. Vote Trump if you care for the world, vote Hillary if you do not. If you vote Trump, look over your shoulder. If you vote Hillary, head for the fallout shelter.
