CHINESE DEFENSE MINISTRY: War in Korea ‘NOT ALLOWED’

The Chinese Defence Ministry Spokesman Ren Guoqiang has made a statement during his monthly briefing reiterating China’s position on the Korean crisis.

The statement reiterated China’s continuing commitment to the joint Sino-Russia peace plan for Korea, the so-called ‘double-freeze’ which calls for the DPRK to immediately cease its missile launches and calls for the US and South Korea to cease their military drills, missile launches and delivery of the THAAD missile systems to Korean soil.

China and Russia also both call for direct talks between Washington and Pyongyang.

Finally, China has said quite frankly that it “will not allow war” to occur on the Korean peninsula.

It is crucial that unlike many previous statements, today’s was made not by the Chinese Foreign Ministry but by the Defense Ministry. This sends a clear message that the People’s Liberation Army will not tolerate any military action by foreign powers on the Korean peninsula, namely the United States.

This is the first time that the Chinese Defence Ministry has clearly made such a statement with previous allusions to such things deriving from the Chinese media.

A similar ironclad commitment to the ‘double-freeze’ was further made at yesterday’s session of the United Nations Security Council by Russia’s Ambassador to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya.

He stated,

“There can be no military solution to the issues on the Korean Peninsula. We believe that all the United Nations Security Council resolutions on North Korea must specify this condition”.

This is another clear example of China and Russia speaking with a singular voice on a crucial issue of geo-political security.

THAAD is installed now all the American fascist regime and the Schlomo’s operating it wants is a kind of low simmering and occasionally violent “ukraine” on China’s (and Russia’s mind you) doorstep. The difference of course being that neither S.K nor N.K is hostile to any of them. With N.K blowing off missiles almost daily despite ridiculous US threats, US will have to “do something” now to make good on their threats or lose face tremendously . Like the 3 carriers Dump was sending last time (but that in reality went further away in 3 different directions,) nothing is going… Read more »

China would be wise to have a word with Kim. It’s one thing to show off, but FFS be bloody careful where and how you show off. A missile over Japan was asking for failure. Around Japan maybe, but over it??

I agree, I can only think the reasoning would be ?Okinowa? which I think was in a different direction, but shows that they are within range.

True. It isn’t actually the first ‘proof’ of NK’s reach, but it is still wreckless as if the missile malfunctioned (NK aren’t known for reliability at the minute) and dropped onto land in Japan, the shit show would have put NK back god knows how man years. I’m all for standing up to the Americans but when you try to out dick the biggest dicks in the world, someone is going to be embarrassed. As it stands the Yanks are losing. Don’t hand them the victory.

I was initially confused. No source-attribution of the statement “will not allow.” Sputnik https://sputniknews.com/asia/201708311056951453-china-us-south-north-korea/ says “Beijing will never allow war or chaos on its doorstep, Reuters reported on Thursday, quoting Defense Ministry spokesman Ren Guoqiang’s words at a monthly news briefing.” So the source, i.e., Reuters, needs backup. Is it possible to find the original Reuters report? Is there official Chinese verification of the report? Why? Because “will not (or will never) allow” either says “we will stop you” or “we will deter you,” and that in a military sense. The Def Min statement is not more specific. If that… Read more »

This is what some of us have tried to tell you for years, ful spectrum dominance, means just one thing, full spectrum dominance, incl everything, from trade to science. Some years ago, nobody talked about China sea lines or economic zones, not an word, NK was out of the MSM, economic sanctions wasnt debated and prospects of an war with China out of the question, but what have happened thru the years, when we know Russia and China is their end goal. huh And where do we stand now, just an shoot away from an world war, provocing China at… Read more »

This is the result of unabated free trade with China that started with billy boy clinton. While your Walmarts were filling up with disposable garbage China was building a military instead of shopping for American products to buy thus cities like Detroit decay.

Trade sanctions and tariffs with China. There is nothing they can’t make that American’s can’t make better and if we can’t we can buy them from Japan, Taiwan, or South Korea.

The US is looking more like a ship about to sink with each passing week. When their threats and provocations are met with decisive diplomacy from China and Russia, they are being outmanoeuvred.

Unfortunately, this potentially makes them more dangerous.

The US lacks the necessary diplomatic skills to ‘talk’ to anyone and has done for decades.

The USA is losing the long game horribly which says a lot about the lack of intellect in DC. Child-like.
Which makes the prospect of toys flying out of the cot more likely.
