Algeria had an amazing run this World Cup. Making it to the knockout stage was a huge accomplishment, before losing a fierce battle to football powerhouse Germany 2:1, in extra time.
What makes their World Cup appearance and success even more outstanding was the recent tweet via FIFA that the Algerian World Cup team has decided to donate their team salary of $9 million, for reaching the Round of 16, to the people of Gaza as revealed by star froward Islam Slimani.

Algeria’s team manager hast yet to officially confirm Slimani’s statement, but if true, then all we can say is good for these guys. That’s is football at its finest.
