The independent polling and research agency The Levada Centre has asked 1,600 to name their favourite world figures. The figures could be living or dead, Russian or non Russian. The respondents could answer freely as opposed to a multiple choice survey.

Here are the results

12. Dmitri Mendeleev (great Russian scientist) 

13. Napoleon Bonaparte (Emperor of France)

14. Leonid Brezhnev (leader of the Soviet Union 1964-1982)

15. Albert Einstein (German/American scientist) 

16. Sergei Yesenin (Russian lyric poet)

17. Mikhail Kutuzov (great Russian General of the 18th and early 19th centuries)

Dosotevsky – “The Idiot” was great book – similar in beginning/ending to Stephen King’s The Dark Tower series.

Seriously, Stalin and Lenin? Both slaughtered more Russians than any external enemy; both were puppets of international Jewry. (Stalin only broke with international Jewry after the emergence of Zionism that posed a threat to Russian nationalism.)

You’re talking nonsense, at least where Lenin is concerned. And it would help you to get some reality check if you pay attention to the events after the Maidan, when pro-Russian crowds gathered in Lenin Squares under the statues of the Bolshevik leader. You know, the same statues that the Russophobic Ukro-Nazis toppled as soon as they could. I have my own strong reservations about Stalin, but your comment doesn’t request a critical appraisal, it simply reeks of anti-communism and anti-Semitism.
