Why ARE these new diseases appearing in China? [Video]

The present problems can be traced to the terrible conditions induced by Communist ideology

Vox News reports in this video in an attempt to explain exactly why China is the source of new diseases like COVID-19 and SARS. It is well-produced and slick, and it is quite informative.

This also provides some insight into the living conditions in China. While the nation is an economic powerhouse, it is also clear from watching this that parallel to the superdevelopment of the tech economy runs a way of life that is primitive in appearance, and dangerous for the life and health of the Chinese people.

This is the result and continuing problem for this, the world’s most heavily populated nation, running under the influence of a powerful Communist apparatus.

This will probably shock and dismay many Westerners, especially in light of most recent news from China before this, which show gleaming cities and high-tech on par with or exceeding the best of the West. While those certainly exist, the technological rise has not extended to this area of life and probably many others.

What is even more ironic is that these execrable markets are said to cater to the wishes of the wealthy class of people in China (even though communist countries are not supposed to have wealthy people). This is because many of the items sold in such markets are wildlife, but the consumption of these animals has been marketed for everything from health to sex to mind-enhancing. Wildlife markets have become big business.

It appears that they have become big and deadly business. That business is shown here to be linked to both the SARS and COVID-19 outbreaks, both of which spread worldwide. COVID-19’s run is far more widespread and severe, with millions of people locked down in quarantine in China and now 16 million in Italy.

Even in the United States, no one is taking such drastic measures off the table. The disruption to life all over the world may be quite dramatic, and possibly even severe until this virus has made its run.

There is another possible source for this virus: caves housing wild bats which are hunted and sold to restaurants.
https://nationalpost.com/news/world/cave-full-of-bats-in-china-identified-as-source-of-virus-almost-identical-to-the-one-killing-hundreds-today

“..the team did not find many bats in the wildlife market,.. but noticed that people were ‘hunting them in the wild and selling directly to restaurants.'”

People living near the caves were found to have antibodies to the viruses these bats carry, meaning that there is probably constant low-level transmission from the bats to the people. No wildlife markets needed.

Jane Karlsson has spread her bat theory everywhere on the DURAN, on every article about the biowarfare virus good ole Jane writes about bats. She starts to sound like”batwoman”.

PS

Of course these bats are strictly Communist bats. Capitalistic bats would never dare to spread such an awful virus. They would spread only good things, of course.

Capitalist bats would demand condominiums and certainly not a cramped communal cave.

I see you did not read the article. Are you afraid it might cast doubt on your CIA bioweapon theory? You are quite right, it does. I think the CIA might have had something to do with this, but not by engineering the virus, which obviously came from bats. Almost everybody on earth now eats a diet which is very low in certain nutrients needed to prevent disease, both communicable diseases like Covid-19, and non-communicable ones such as Alzheimer’s and obesity. Disease is caused by damage that is not repaired. Repair requires magnesium, manganese and copper. There is no way… Read more »

This is a propaganda video. If you read all the scientific papers the only fact is the first genome was sequenced from a patient from Wuhan, China. There is NO scientific paper yet which explains for a fact where the disease originated. It MAY have originated in China. It MAY not. It MAY even have originated in the U.S. There is consensus that the virus originated around November 2019 at least, if not earlier. In Wuhan, they had a cluster of fast transmission associated with the seafood market. But the very first patient had NO association to the seafood market.… Read more »

It’s unfathomable to me that the Duran continues sharing rubbish like this. It’s not the first time, either. Alex Christoforou seems incapable of differentiating fact from fiction where China is concerned. I suspect his anti-communist bias is to blame. I, too, am an anti-communist, but that doesn’t blind me to the fact that CPC’s policies, heavy-handed as they may have been at times, are in large part responsible for China’s resurgence over the last 30 year, and all attacks on the CPC, hidden though they may be under a thin humanitarian veneer, are ultimately aimed at China itself, with the… Read more »

I am also getting very tired of reading about this virus on the DURAN. Unfortunately, the Russian news agency TASS is also overflowing with news about this virus. I wonder why the DURAN and TASS are jumping on this bandwaggon.

TASS does feature quite a few stories on the topic, because it is a burning issue, but most of what you can read there is balanced and doesn’t smear Chine in the way this alarmist and propagandist article does.

Be alert for the propaganda clues: video shows a menu of wild animals “REPORTEDLY” from the market in Wuhan. Why can’t they confirm it? Maybe because it’s fake? Everyone who has been to that market has never seen any of those animals being sold there.

Alex, I am seriously getting sick of the anti-Chinese propaganda you have been sharing on the Duran, as of late. Are you seriously using the Vox as a source, and do you honestly find any of this credible? This is akin to sharing TRT’s “analyses” of the unfolding situation on the Greek-Turkish border. I expect better from you. Anyone with a functioning brain can see this for what it is: a crude attempt at using a tragedy to strike ad China.

It’s not just COVID-19, either. The Duran has even shared some articles about the infamous, and completely fictitious, Uyghur “concentration/internment/death/forced labour camps”, some of them even citing figures of “interned” that would have all prisons in China and the US – combined! – filled three times over! And all this at a time when the Deep State is shamelessly trying to use COVID-19, in conjunction with Hong Kong and the Uyhghur issues, to strike a blow against China. This is not only irresponsible, and bad journalism; it is stupid, and tactical suicide in the fight again the Deep State, which… Read more »

Haeul, agreed, even wrote to the Duran, no reply. I assume there is no interest. These topics make for clicks. And while I understand that it is still a business, ignoring your key clientele, key readers, that way is simply a poor business strategy. It also puts all the other content in question. Either all of the Duran is reliable, or at least makes a sincere effort, or none of it is. Not up to the reader to cherry pick. That is the editor’s job. One part of the problem is that some contributors seem to be able to publish… Read more »

In their defence, they’re probably swamped with emails, and may not even have received yours. However, I do agree with you that more care needs to be taken when selecting material for this website. Curiously enough, I have no issues, and indeed, absolutely love the A/A videos, as well as the much longer A/A/P lives. What does that tell us? Well, clearly, the issue is with Alex Christoforou, who is primarily responsible for running the website, and who plays second or third fiddle in the videos – thus the issue of the website’s problematic content, and the lack thereof when… Read more »

We have to be patient with THE DURAN. There are several editors, I believe: The guy with the pseudonym of “Seraphim Hanish” who lives in the USA, and Alex Christoforou, who lives in Cyprus and Athens. Both have different tastes, different themes. I think that Alexander Mercouris in London does not bother with the editing of the Duran texts, he only does the analysis videos which are all very entertaining and excellent. Everyone is a highlight. I also enjoy Peter Lavelle’s “Crosstalk” on RT, especially when he has invited Alexander Mercouris or Alex Christoforou as guests. I can recommend these… Read more »

The origin of the virus is not yet met with evidence of any kind. So far only theories bad or good. But the wet markets is a danger that China now has forbidden. So that part of the article ar only slander! And that counts for the rest of it, too. Laughable that it should have anything with ideology to do! Outright stupidity by the author! Or simply propaganda? Written by CIA? Or NATO?

Covid-19 virus has 5 different strains. All 5 have been found in the USA. Only one has been found in China, and another in Iran, one in Italy. This means that the virus originated in the USA, not China, Iran or Italy; most probably from Fort Detrick Maryland which the CDC shut down on 5 Sept 2019 for ‘unsafe handling’ of dangerous pathogens. 800 US military personal attended the Military Olympics in mid-October 2019 in Wuhan Province. The first cities to be quarantined (January 2020) were: Zhijiang, Qianjiang, Xiantao, Wuhan, Huangang, Ezhou and Chibi. All of these but Chibi lie… Read more »

Thank you for this clarifying explanation. I always thought and wrote that this virus originated in the USA, created by the CIA as biovirus warfare, and then sent to China, so it appeared to originate there. The “bat” theory is too crazy to believe. “Wir werden für dumm verkauft”. The readers are sold as dumb cattle. But we are not really as dumb as we might appear ….

All the original people eat all kind of animals, go to many regions in Latin America, Asia or Africa and you will see people eating from ants to crocodiles or monkeys. China has eaten those animals for more than 10.000 years, but suddenly it produce Frankenstein virus created from a variety of species genomes. Was HIV also part of the wild animals?
I don’t understand why Duran take the side with such stupid theories.

Exactly! Chinese food has been excellent and healthy for more than 10.000 years! Now, all of a sudden, out of the blue, in the 21st century, it is not healthy any more? What has changed? I will tell you what has changed! The US Deep State hates China and wants to kill Chinese citizens with biovirus warfare. That has changed the world in the 21st century. The US Deep State is a global pest!

Zen, because living things develop. Sometimes because of stupid human actions like feeding protein meal made from goats to cows, which eventually developed mad cow disease. It took a while, and then it was that one incident that changed everything. The same thing is happening in wild animals in the US for example (plus some cases in NZ and recently in northern Europe), called CWD or chronic wasting disease, affecting deer, elk and moose, and also smaller animals like squirrels. It spreads because you cannot control wild populations like domestic ones. Animal to human transfer has already been reported and… Read more »

Typical Seraphim Hanisch article promoting a source like VOX as the truth whereas its selective choice of facts, presentation of mere rumour as verified fact, omission of opposing viewpoints and lack of different perspectives, make it anything BUT the truth . Tripe worthy of publication in NYT.

Who is this idiot? Diseases are not ideological or religious. Why plague in the Christian US, Dengue in Buddhist Thailand, Ebola in Animist Africa, Mad cow disease in sensible Holland?
Execrable food markets. Snails and horse meat in France. Cute, innocent lambs in US supermarkets, Dolly in mutton shops, Skippy the kangaroo in Sydney shops. Babe the adorable piglet in German markets. Dog’s heart in Hindu Bali. Outrageous. And why – stupid writers?
