BREAKING: Russian transport plane crashes in Syria; no survivors

32 passengers and crew died on a failed approach to landing at a Syrian airbase used by the Russian military forces operating there

An Antonov-26 used by the Russian Defense Ministry as a transport aircraft crashed on March 6th in Syria as it was on approach to land at the Hmeymim Airbase there. This happened around 3pm Moscow time. TASS reports that everyone onboard the aircraft died in the accident.

At this time the cause of the crash is not known, but it is suspected that a technical fault of some kind caused this to happen.
