Putin, Trump meet in Helsinki for first bilateral summit

Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump are meeting in the Finnish capital of Helsinki for their first bilateral one-on-one meeting.

Trump arrived in the Finland capital a day early, while the jet of Putin, who wrapped up his nation’s hosting of the World Cup Sunday, touched down around 1 p.m. local time and the Russian president’s motorcade whisked him straight to the palace where the two world leaders are meeting.

Trump signed an August 2017 law imposing additional sanctions on Russia. The law bars Trump from easing many sanctions without Congress’ approval, but he can offer some relief without a nod from Congress.

Almost 700 Russian people and companies are under U.S. sanctions. Individuals face limits on their travel and freezes on at least some of their assets, while some top Russian state banks and companies, including oil and gas giants, are effectively barred from getting financing through U.S. banks and markets.

The agenda of the summit hasn’t been officially announced yet, though, the presidents are expected to discuss global crises, such as the Syrian conflict and Ukraine, as well as bilateral relations.

As shown in this article, until recently, Washington had a very interesting way of influencing elections in Russia:

With USAID receiving its marching orders from Hillary Clinton back in 2011, one doesn’t really have to really ponder the motivation behind Russia’s alleged interference in the 2016 United States presidential election, if indeed there was any interference.

So the ‘deep state, swamp’ has let Trump off the leash as long as he does what they want. Time will tell but I have doubts about the meeting, Trump has no power, it was conveniently taken away from him by the Senate. This meeting is an exercise to drive a wedge between Russia and China because they are the driving forces behind the destruction of the US hegemony and the US Dollar.
Putin is just going through the motions and playing his part, it is up to the US remove the threats.

Trump is about changing the way the world is run, overturning the money-changers, stopping the child abductors, cleaning the traitors out of congress and senate and pulling America out of trying to dominate (read destroy) the world. The evidence to date is people’s resignations, decisions ‘not to run’ and thousands of sealed indictments. The Clinton mafia must be stopped. Election rigging must stop. The economy (The ‘Fed’) must be removed from private control. In previous years this would be enough to get a president assassinated. This must not happen as this may be our last and only chance to stop… Read more »

Very disappointed in the level of reporter questions. Same old same old. They dont probe, they don’t try to open things up. They let DT give a spiel about their wonderful relations with Israel and how much they want to help them, and his recent talks with Netanyahoo, but not a word was asked about whether they had discussed Israels bombing of Palestine, of closing off the only road getting food and water in, of the way the world is turning against Israel because ot it’s perceived treatment of Palestinians. Not one word asked of either President. Nothing was asked… Read more »

I strongly suggest the Duran follows up with a piece on CNN’s unending reactions and “analyses” after the final presentation by both presidents, followed by a question period.

CNN is now shell-shocked, in total meltdown, and likely to suffer from PTSD for years if not decades. It’s well worth presenting the material on this unique moment to the readers here!!! They’ll appreciate I’m sure…

President Putin was asked if Russia had collected compromising information on Donald Trump or his family.

He replied: “When Donald Trump came to Moscow as a businessman (in 2013), I was not even aware that he was in Moscow. Take the St. Petersburg Economic Forum. More than 500 senior executives from the US came over to Russia. Do you really think that we are compiling compromising material on all of them? Well, definitely, that’s absurd. I cannot really imagine anything more absurd than this. So please, throw out this nonsense from your mind.”
