As the CEO of Exxon, Rex Tillerson had more contact with global heads of state than most US Senators and more than some Foreign Ministers. His relationship with Russia and with President Vladimir Putin is well known. Russia had awarded businessman Tillerson Russia’s Order of Friendship to thank him for his positive business relations with Russia.
As Donald Trump’s Secretary of State, Tillerson has often been a lone voice of reason in a Washington dominated by ideologies. His technical subordinate, America’s Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley often proffers US policy that is vastly more radical and militant in comparison to the statements from Rex Tillerson. This has led many to speculate that Tillerson may be contemplating resignation.

In spite of this, Tillerson has often been seen as in a deeply compromised position as the Trump White House continues to lack any singular clarity on its foreign policy trajectory.
This has led Vladimir Putin to say the following during the course of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok,
“We once awarded the Order of Friendship to… Mr. Tillerson, but he seems to have got into bad company and to be somewhat moving in the other direction. But I hope that the wind of cooperation, friendship and interaction will finally bring him to the right path”.
Currently, America doesn’t seem to have any path in foreign policy at all, with or without Rex Tillerson remembering his old friendship with Russia.

Tillerson could find eternal salvation by defecting to Russia. He will soon be in good company, not forgetting Snowdon, of course.
Vlad could appoint Tillerson as Chairman of Rosneft….
The only path Tillerson will take is out the door. And then the Waffle House queen, Nikki Haley will be Sec of State, so we can have another Hillary. But the military junta remains in control of foreign policy. The generals will still allow Trump to tweet

Putin, somehow tries to save the day by saying Tillerson kinda got involved with the wrong crowd, but there is still hope he can reform. NO there is no such hope. Putin has chosen to ignore history. Americans will never reform, and there were never better than they are now. A warring nation since 1776, has been at war 225 years and at peace only 21 years. The foreign policy of the US transcends political parties and serves the collective interests of the global financiers, the deep state, the Military Industrial Complex, and the Multinationals. It is normal for Putin to have lost confidence in Tillerson. He is SUPPOSED to be the US’s top diplomat, yet was unable to stop the closing/take over of the Russian embassies in the US, a clear violation of International Diplomatic Law!!
Also, contrary to what his directive to Haley to pass all statements to him for approval, she riles up hatred/war against Russia, North Korea, China etc. He cannot even make his subordinates obey, OR he is in agreement with her statements!

Poor Rex, the sharpest chisel in Trump’s tool box. His rabid assistant, Haley, he forgot to vaccinate, so her demise is imminent. Rex, get out while you can. It’s all downhill from here.
