Since protests started on April 19th, after Freddie Gray’s murder, police are calling this recent wave of chaos the most violent yet.
Beginning in Mondawmin Mall in northwest Baltimore, demonstrations have spread to other parts of the city. Police reinforcements, and even the National Guard have been called in bring order to what is becoming a common occurrence in a United States plagued with racism and injustice towards African American men.

America would do itself a favor to stop bombing other nations in the name of freedom, democracy and human rights, when in its own country, African American males are constantly and continually singled out for arrest, and even murdered in clod blood at the hands of a violent neo-liberal elite power structure that has spread from the halls of Washington to local branches of city Police.

#BaltimoreRiots are depressing. But I find the excuses, hedgings & whataboutisms from prominent liberals on this issue far more troubling.
