It’s is no secret that the New York Times is militantly pro Hillary and also a major proponent of US wars globally. The NYT has a tremendous amount of blood on its hands for blatantly misleading the US public in the run up to the Iraq invasion.
Being a war hungry newspaper naturally means the NYT would support the war hungry candidate.
Luckily these facts are not lost on Assange, who calls out the New York Times, and its interviewer Jo Becker, during a Facebook live event.
In what was a two part interview (with part two embedded below) Becker spends roughly half the interview focusing on Russia, trying to stir up the winds of war against Vladimir Putin.
Assange proves way to smart and cunning to fall into Becker’s obvious traps in trying to paint Russia as an evil, authoritarian regime. In the end Assange makes the NYT look like a Hillary puppet.
For the NYT, it is simply trying to use the same formula it employed during the run up to the Iraq invasion…mainly lies, misinformation, and fear mongering.
This time people are aware of the Time’s obvious bias towards conflict. Russia, likewise is no Iraq and Putin is no Saddam.
The live interview with The New York Times was streamed live on Facebook.
Assange told the New York Times that Clinton is to blame for “whipping up a neo-McCarthyist hysteria about Russia.”
Assange also said that the recent notion narrative by CIA deputy director Michael Morell that Donald Trump and Green Party candidate Jill Stein are being manipulated by Russian spies is ridiculous.
Assange turned the tables on NYT interviewer Jo Becker (and her Russian bashing tone) to ask a simple question of her and her media stenographers…
“What kind of press environment is this going to lead to post-election?”
“The American liberal press, in falling over themselves to defend Hillary Clinton, are erecting a demon that is going to put nooses around everyone’s necks as soon as she wins the election, which is almost certainly what she’s going to do.”
