French PM Valls: ‘France Should Learn to Live With Terrorism’, Putin: ‘We Will Hunt Terrorists Down’ [Video]

Contrast what Valls said after the Nice terrorist attack, with what Putin said in 1999 to understand how leadership and resolve can beat terrorism.

Yesterday we reported that after the Nice terrorist attack, French Prime Minister Manuel Valls told French citizens that, “France Should Learn to Live with Terrorism”.

After Valls’ strange statement we said:

It is as if French leadership has accepted, or is telling their people to accept, the fact that EU and US policy in Syria, Iraq and elsewhere will inevitably result in some blowback…so in Valls’ word, to paraphrase, ‘learn to live with it, France’.

The Duran Editor-in-Chief, Alexander Mercouris posted on his Facebook page:

Good God

Compare that to what Putin said in 1999 – about hunting terrorists down even if they hid inside a toilet (as Russians know he used a much stronger word).
There you have the difference between Defeatism and Resolve.

Remember when terrorism plagued Russia, Vladimir Putin did not tell Russians to ‘learn to live with terrorism.’

In September 1999, when Putin briefly served as prime minister during Boris Yeltsin’s presidency, Putin told Russian TV:

“We are going to pursue terrorists everywhere. If they are in the airport, we will pursue them in the airport. And if we capture them in the toilet, then we will waste them in the outhouse. … The issue has been resolved once and for all”.

Twitter users in France are rightfully horrified and angered by Valls’ statements (Twitter translations courtesy of Zerohedge).

“What? More people should be killed to wake you up, fool!” @MathiasLiurno added.

Some called on Valls to resign after uttering such words

“You don’t have any shame?” “It gave me chills.” “The sword of Damocles over our heads” – these were the angry comments on social media.

“This phrase [Valls’] is horrible. We don’t want to live with terrorism, we want to live in peace,” @FlowerofFields added.

Trolled were also present “Okay this is reassuring” “Best sentence of the day, again congratulations Mr. Valls” “Thanks Mr.Valls.”
