Recently, Russia declared its position steadfastly opposed to war and punitive measures against the government of Venezuela. Today, China has joined this call in support of Caracus against further US measures of fear, threats and intimidation.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Hua Chunying has stated,

“The present problem in Venezuela should be resolved by the Venezuelan government and people themselves.

The experience of history shows that outside interference or unilateral sanctions will make the situation even more complicated and will not help resolve the actual problem.

Venezuela has recently complained to the UN of Donald Trump’s threats and sanctions levelled at the oil rich South American nation. Both Russia and China import oil from Venezuela and consider themselves trading partners of Caracas.

Venezuela has recently been on high alert against US military aggression.

The Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza recently stated,

“ll the people of Venezuela, all high-ranking military personnel are to take part in these drills to prepare to protect us, our territory, our sovereignty, including by military means. I hope that we won’t experience such barbarity in our age….(but) if Venezuela is attacked, rest assured that the Armed Forces of the Bolivarian Republic, the people of Venezuela, would defend their territory, their integrity, dignity, independence and sovereignty to their last breath”.

More blow-back for undercutting China after it agreed to sanction N. Korea. Venezuela may become the first of many S. American countries to become a Chinese-Russian ally.

Already every Latin American leftist government is a Russian ally and some have relations with China. These bonds should be strengthened and backed by taking the fight against pro-American compradores.

Instead of opposing China and Russia should financially help, build military bases to protect Venezuela’s oil and watch American’s jaw drop to the ground.
