British newspaper The Independent has been exposed peddling inflammatory fake news directed at one of its favourite targets, Wikileaks.
It seems when the Independent isn’t telling lies about Russia, Iran and Syria it is doing so about Julian Assange’s organisation.

The Duran recently exposed The Independent telling a blatant lie about Russia, Iran and Syria. The Independent claimed that Russia, Iran and Syria produced a document threatening US forces with military retribution after the 6 April missile attack on a Syrian airbase. No such document nor any statements indicating this were ever released by Russia, Iran or Syria.
The Independent has yet to apologise for publishing this lie.
Free speech advocate and Wikileaks board member Joseph A. Farrell pointed out the story on Twitter. Below is a screen show of Farrell’s Tweet with the full original headline.
Farrell continued to Tweet to The Independent about this fake story. The recent ‘WannaCry’ hacks had nothing at all to do with information contained in any Wikileaks publication.

There is no Western MSM story in today’s World people can count on to be fully true. And certainly no story that is about a country or organization the Western regimes hate. The Western MSM is a joke today.
I think the days of calling The Independent a ‘newspaper’ are long gone. They closed the actual newspaper.

It’s very strange. Every now and then they publish an article by Robert Fisk, which is always substantially true and insightful. Then they go back to their standard lies.

Agreed. I feel sorry for Fisk – I think he’s still there only out of loyalty/inertia, I recall he’s worked for them for almost as long as it has been around. The Indie always struggled but years ago one felt that it was at least trying to be open minded and informative. These days it is just shocking and really sloppy. 95% of readers believe that President Putin is the most dangerous evil mastermind the World has ever seen, and is in cohorts with Wikileaks to bring everyone else down.
The damage is done, ‘the independent’, is anything but. But unfortunately due to the points above, every word of this article is reaffirming everything thier readers see and hear everyday from multiple sources.
Wasn’t the owner of The Independent and The Standard, one of the Oligarchs that did not wish to stay in Russia, if it meant he becoming a good citizen, paying his taxes and staying out of politics? So not as though they are a tad biased, is it?
