Russia’s Federal Security Service Foils May Holiday Terrorist Attack In Moscow

Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) has detained a group of people from Central Asia who were planning to carry out terrorist attacks in Moscow region during the May holidays.

The Russia’s Federal Security Service FSB said in a statement on Wednesday:

“Following investigative work in the city of Moscow, the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation detained a group of citizens of Central Asian countries who were planning to carry out a series of terrorist attacks in the Moscow region during the May holidays by an order of the leaders of international terrorist organizations active on the territories of Syria and Turkey.”

The detainees gave a confession and officers seized large quantities of weapons and explosives.
