Hundreds of South Koreans have lined and in some cases blocked the streets of Gyeongsangbuk-do province in a large scale demonstration of anger over the further deployment of more US made THAAD missile launching systems in their country.
South Koreans have repeatedly protested the persistent delivers of THAAD as they worry that such a matter could help to further provoke a renewal of war on the Korean peninsula.

Russia and China have called on the United States to cease delivering further THAAD missile systems to South Korea as part of the double-freeze peace plan.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in, who is currently in Russia for the Eastern Economic Forum campaigned on a platform against further THAAD deliveries but in recent months he has acquiesced to US pressure on the matter.

having US missiles in your country makes you a target
Puts you right in the cross-hairs!!!
Few hundred protesters doesn’t mean anything in terms of making a fist. Same everywhere. Those missiles are here to say.
Not if the government says “get them out NOW” and does so on public TV broadcast to the entire country and region. He just has to make it public. All this weapons talk happens in backrooms out of the way of prying eyes. To handle it you need to:
1. Bring it into the public eyes.
2. Put the onus on the Aggressor.
3. Boycott the Aggressor.
It all ads up and gets harder and harder to resist and make excuses against. Easy.
I think Moon Jae in plays games, (no balls), kick USA
Out!!!
I’m amazed that hundreds of thousands of South Koreans, especially in Seoul, aren’t filling up the streets essentially shutting down the government’s ability to function. It’s their lives, their loved ones lives, their friends lives and their livelihood that could very quickly just go up in smoke. And all for what? just because the US insists that this conflict, which isn’t on or even remotely near their territory, be settled as they see fit.
The SK government is doing its people a grave injustice and endangering their lives for no good reason other then being an obedient underling.
On all issues of North Korean “aggression” I am guided by the outrage and panic we see in South Korea……..
Yep. Not a lot.
The whole thing is a media storm played out mostly in the USA or on twitter. Nothing will happen and no lives are at stake.
